Time tracking & timesheet approval
Hours recorded properly. Timesheets approved without the spreadsheet.
WorkSync lets employees clock in, record breaks and submit weekly or monthly timesheets. Employers approve them in a couple of clicks, and approved hours go straight to the bookkeeper.

How it works
-
1
Link to your employer
Employees and employers create separate accounts. An employee searches for the business and asks to join. The employer approves the request and sets that person's hourly rate.
-
2
Clock in, take breaks, clock out
Pick the employer and clock in. Start and end as many breaks as you take. Times come from the server, not your phone's clock, and break time is deducted automatically.
-
3
Submit the timesheet
At the end of the week (Monday to Sunday) or month — whichever your employer uses — review your shifts and submit. The submitted hours are locked so the totals can't drift.
-
4
Approve and hand over
The employer sees every shift and break, then approves or rejects. Employees are emailed the decision, and an approved copy can go straight to the bookkeeper.
For employees
- Work for more than one business? Each employer's hours and rates are kept separately.
- See your current shift, time on break and hours worked so far.
- Fix a mistake in a completed shift before you submit.
- If a timesheet is rejected, correct it and resubmit — the earlier version is kept.
- See jobs posted by the businesses you work for and apply in one click.
- Message your employer without swapping phone numbers.
For employers
- Approve who can record time for your business, and set each person's hourly rate.
- Choose weekly or monthly timesheets.
- Review every clock-in, clock-out and break before you approve.
- Approved timesheets can be emailed automatically to your bookkeeper or payroll contact.
- Post extra shifts — marked standard or urgent — to the staff linked to you.
- You only ever see your own business's staff, jobs and timesheets.
What WorkSync is not
WorkSync records and approves working hours. It is not a payroll system: it does not calculate PAYE, National Insurance, pensions or holiday pay, and it does not pay wages. Any pay figure it shows is a simple estimate of hours × rate, clearly labelled as such, for your bookkeeper to work from.
